The
Human Immune System
INTRODUCTION
Welcome to my webpage about the Human Immune System. This site is designed to
assist your understanding of the way our immune system responds to certain
stimuli but in particular, bacterial and viral infections or diseases.
Here you will learn about the different structures and functions of the immune
response and the subdivisions of the immune system - specific and non specific
responses. We will also learn about the immune system's ability to discriminate
between 'self and non self'.
I have also covered one particular aspect of the immune system in detail, which
is Multiple Sclerosis.
Difficult terminology is highlighted in bold and defined in the "Key Terms"
area for your understanding.
To find out more, use the navigation menu on the left to browse the different
areas of the site and read all about how our immune system works.
